ABU DHABI has opened a new night beach along the Corniche, offering residents and tourists the chance to swim under the stars with free entry.

Operated by Abu Dhabi City Municipality, part of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, the facility creates a safe and lively space for evening recreation.

The Corniche Night Beach is open daily from 6pm to 10pm, with extended hours until midnight on weekends, from Friday to Sunday. The well-lit beach includes lifeguards, first-aid services, and courts for volleyball, football, and basketball, blending leisure with safety.

Swimming zone

Visitors can enjoy a 1,000-metre stretch dedicated to swimming, accessible through gates 4 to 6. The initiative supports Abu Dhabi’s drive to enhance outdoor lifestyle offerings and add family-friendly attractions to the city’s waterfront.

More night beaches

The Corniche addition complements the Marsana Night Beach on Hudayriyat Island, which charges Dh50 on weekdays and Dh100 on weekends for adults, while children under six enter free.

Meanwhile, Yas Waterworld has expanded its daytime thrills with a 13,445 sqm addition, further strengthening Abu Dhabi’s line-up of water attractions.

Dubai also continues to attract swimmers with its night beaches at Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, and Umm Suqeim 1, which feature facilities for people of determination.
